Form and Content:: Objectified

In the movie Objectified, the use of content and form goes into the objects made from the electronic to the garden supplies. The form and the content have to complement each other in a product so that the use can be fully utilized. For example the Asian tooth pick has a form where the point doesn’t touch the ground. The form makes it possible for the content to be better in quality. Also the form of the tooth brushes’ grip made the brush more grip able and more easily usable. In summary of the movie, the main role of a design’s form and content is to be unnoticeable or to be so convenient that the user that they can use it easily.
 The process required to make each product is by testing its interaction with the human body. If the object is clunky like the garden scissors the result is difficulty in using the product which causes designers to redesign products. Also aesthetic elements are added to items where the person can bond with the product. The material certain designers use are exotic and can make consumers feel uniqueness when relating to the product. In apple the design is simple full of hidden uses which kind of mystifies the consumer. In the movie the designers are concentrating on the perspective of the consumer and how the people can communicate with the product. The designers in the film really took in hand to make the object more appealing to human contact.
